  Sandy Lake Ukrainian

Ukrainian Canadian Heritage Day

This annual event is held on the last Saturday in July and is put on by the Museum and the RM of Harrison in a joint venture.

During this celebration, there are numerous demonstrations of traditional craft and homesteading arts that the pioneers in the area used to do. These include: Ukrainian Easter Egg Painting, rope making, paper flower making, wheat weaving, and hand loom weaving among other things.

Traditional fried bread is also served at the outdoor kitchen.
In 2014, this event was held on July 26th.
