Clay Oven Baked Bread
The Museum volunteers bake bread in the clay oven for Western Days which is held the second weekend of August in Sandy Lake.
The bread is baked in advance of Western Days, on the two days prior to the first event on Friday evening. Wednesday evening the oven is fired up for several hours. Then the following Thursday and Friday, bread is baked all day. The bread is used for the Museum's Borshch & Bread lunch at the outdoor kitchen.
