The Museum

Picture

The Sandy Lake Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Museum was opened in 1989 as a simple display in the Senior's Drop-In. Since then the Museum has grown enough to have it's own building and has been the main organization for the promoting of the Village of Sandy Lake for 2 decades.
The Ukrainian Museum is located beside the Sandy Lake Fire Hall, across the street from the grain elevator, on Railway Ave.

The Sandy Lake Museum showcases the work and the struggles of the local settlers in the South Riding Mountain Region of Manitoba. The collection includes all donated items, clothing, decorations, implements and furniture and other items from the area.
